In 2023, my 85-year-old Nan and I embarked on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the UK for my sister's wedding. We made the journey extra special with a visit to the lavender fields of Hitchin, Hertforshire.

The sight of the endless purple rows was breathtaking! We strolled through the fragrant field and enjoyed some lavender-flavoured ice cream under the British sun. Nan was ecstatic surrounded by her beloved grandchildren, happily enjoying her favourite treat. That moment, with the sweet smell of lavender and the warmth of the sun, was a moment we all cherished.
